Location: Beijing
Effective date: Before Dec. 31, 2011

[b:2vjn61ek]Role Purpose:[/b:2vjn61ek]
Under broad guidance, provides expertise in statistical methodologies to assigned research projects.

[b:2vjn61ek]Principal Accountabilities:[/b:2vjn61ek]
1.Provides statistical methodology support in the delivery of standard and custom studies.
2.Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and assists in preparing written summaries of study results.
3.Assists other statisticians in preparing analysis plans and statistical reports and performs validation of statistical analysis. Works on projects of moderate scope within defined procedures and practices.

[b:2vjn61ek]Requirement:[/b:2vjn61ek]
1.Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Bachelor’s or with up to two years of experience with a Master’s in operations research, market research, or applied statistics.
2.Technical knowledge/skills include: multivariate analysis, regression analysis and forecasting, sampling, and basic knowledge of SAS programming languages in both PC and mainframe environments.  
3.Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs ad develop solutions/recommendations to solve problems.

3.Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.

Role Function: Statistics
Report to:  Mgr, Statistics
Location: Beijing
Effective date: Before Dec. 31, 2011

[b:2vjn61ek]Role Purpose:[/b:2vjn61ek]
Independently provides a wide range of statistical, methodological and SAS programming support for new US research offerings including impact assessments, business line development and business continuity.

[b:2vjn61ek]Principal Accountabilities:[/b:2vjn61ek]
1.Provides statistical methodology and project management support in the delivery of standard and custom studies.
2.Applies appropriate methodology when implementing studies. Defines statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study, and identifies new opportunities for standard reports and for value-added analytics.
3.Implements tactical study plans in answer to business questions, performs quantitative research, and provides written summaries of study results. 4.Participates in selecting statistical methodology for use in the development and launch of new products. Gathers recommendations from others to develop research plans, identifying appropriate data sources and delivery options in meeting client information and analyses needs.
5.May consult with clients in support of project delivery. Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices.
6.Experience analyzing large amounts of data. Intermediate to advanced SAS and/or SPSS programming skills. Strong written communication skills.

1. Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Bio-informatics or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor’s or a with a minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Master’s in operations research, market research, or applied statistics.
2.Technical knowledge/skills include: multivariate analysis, regression analysis and forecasting, sampling, and knowledge of SAS programming languages in both PC and mainframe environments.  
3.Additional knowledge of C, Visual Basic, artificial intelligence methods and software, linear programming and market research methods are preferred.
