Shipping Analyst
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with business partners to support analytics for business impact on shipping initiatives, eg. ePacket, Overseas Warehouse, for eBay Greater China, especially on business measurement, business insight development and analytical infrastructure.
2. Apply business intelligence tools to develop robust analytical platform to support various lines-of-business. Measure ongoing business performance by reporting to understand key drivers.
3. Communicate insights to business partners to support business growth.
4. Provide technical expertise in data manipulation, measuring business performance and running research using advanced approaches.
5. Support ad-hoc projects, collaborate with global teams and take part in international initiatives.
6. Best practices sharing with analysts and managers located across the regions.

Job Requirements:
1. Ability of understanding business problems, developing innovative and practical solutions to deliver business results, and communicating to the business partners and execute on solutions.
2. Proficient in SQL, SAS, VBA programming and Microsoft Office.
3. Extensive experience with large data sets and data manipulation.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
5. Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects with demonstrated follow-through.
6. Ability to understand different share-holders needs and handle business conflicts.
7. Personal integrity and an appreciation for team work.
8. Advanced degree in quantitative fields such as statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, operations research or MBA.
9. 2+ years of business analytics, marketing, strategy or consulting experience.
10. Experience in e-commerce, internet or retail industry is a plus.
