Primary Job Responsibilities
1. Deeply understand eBay Greater China, South East Asia, India business, especially marketing. Design appropriate analytical methodology to measure key business metrics, eg. ROI, GMV multiplier, incremental revenue, etc. for each marketing levers by sophisticated approaches.
2. Work closely with Asia and global finance team to figure out a framework to optimize the investment on eBay Asia from corporate. To be part of budgeting allocation process by providing analytical science.
3. Work together with Category Managers / Marketing Managers / Sales Managers to improve the customer relationship management and customer experience with better customer targeting and segmentation.
4. Monitor regular marketing campaigns and deliver key observations, insights and recommendations for eBay Asia sales team to contribute short term turn around.
5. Communicate globally to apply standard measurement and methodology in eBay Asia to provide single business truth by global best practice. Become a bridge between eBay Asia and corporate with strong communication skills.
6. Design a platform to optimize the process of marketing campaign testing in eBay Asia. Apply appropriate design of experimental methodology to monitor testing performance.
7. Lead eBay Asia projects in marketing and finance areas, eg. Online, Offline, FP&A, by cutting-edge analytical tools and right business judgment. Present results to leadership and stakeholders.
8. Manage people and coach juniors in terms of e-commerce in Asia, communication, global best practice, etc.
Job Requirements
1. Great business sense with the ability of understanding business problems (especially in Asia), developing innovative and practical solutions to solve complex problems, articulating and communicating to the business partners and execute on solutions.
2. Extensive experience and thorough understanding of internet marketing, web analytics, e-commerce and best practices.
3. Superior analytical skills with cutting-edge tools and methodology, eg. sophisticated customer segmentation Naïve Bayes model by SAS EM.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
5. Strong global project management skills. Deep understanding of multiple cultures of Chinese and US.
6. Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects with demonstrated follow-through. A sense of humor, personal integrity, and an appreciation for team-work.
7. Advanced degree in quantitative fields such as statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, operations research or MBA.
8. 10+ years of marketing and business analytics experience. 2+ years people management experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree.
2. Marketing and business analytics or related working experience.
3. Proficient in SAS, SQL, VBA and Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to manage, lead, and mentor junior data analysts to maximize productivity and deliver results.
7. Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
8. Strong project management skills.
9. Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects with demonstrated follow-through.
